Dawn Heffelfinger, O.D., F.A.A.O
Dr. Heffelfinger is a native of Phoenix and has been practicing in the Phoenix area since graduating with honors from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2000. Prior to that she graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Zoology and minors in chemistry and Spanish from Northern Arizona University. Dr. Heffelfinger enjoys seeing all types of patients, but particularly enjoys working with children and infants. She is an active participant for InfantSEE, a nationwide program providing no-cost eye exams to infants. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry,
Dr. Heffelfinger is board certified with the American Board of Optometry, one of the few optometrists in the state to hold this qualification. In her free time, Dr. Heffelfinger enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys and going camping. She also has a weakness for rescuing dogs, and has three Siberian Husky rescues and a lab mix. |
Robert J. Maynard, O.D.
Dr. Maynard is a 1967 graduate of the Los Angeles College of Optometry now known as Southern California College of Optometry. After graduation, he joined his stepfather, Dr. Kaplan, in his practice and has been practicing optometry in Arizona for over 40 years. He served as President of the Arizona Optometric Association in 1978. He served on the Arizona State Board of Optometry for eight years. He also served on the American Optometric Association Board as Communications Chair for ten years, in the Congressional Committee for two years, as well as the Federal Relations Committee. He worked for twelve years with Indian Health Service formerly known as Patient Health Services.
Dr. Maynard is an active supporter of many charitable organizations and events. He has worked extensively with great dedication toward the fitting of contact lenses and hard-to-fit contact lenses since the beginning of his career as an optometrist. Dr. Maynard is now fully retired and enjoying some well deserved R & R.. |
